- Evaluation

Evaluation is done by repeated completion of the ASF-E and the Family Apgar, measuring family satisfaction.

The base measure is the scores assessed during session 4 (after the families have assessed their own strengths and problems, set their own goals, and started the pursuit of their goals). The diagram pictured under "Assessment" serves to visualize the results and should include all persons in the family who participate. The diagram of the new result from the last session should be given to the clients. Comparing with the first diagram, this serves to show the extent of progress made in the focal dimension and the others.

A repeat measure can be done a month after treatment or later. It was shown, that the scores have continued to improve after the eight sessions and families were able to report how they continued to work toward improving family health.

Other methods of evaluation are qualitative and follow the progress described in the treatment document.
